Hello and welcome to our latest blog post on promoting social media accounts. I have attended a number of networking events across the East Midlands over the past few months and the one thing has really struck me is the sheer number of marketing materials I have collected that don't include social media details - either logos or account information.
During networking events I often hear - "please follow us on social media" but I have often gone to do exactly that and looked on their business card for the information and NOTHING! Also, not every business account is called the business name or the individual's name - don't make it difficult.
Surely, if you are active on Social Media you want people you meet to find and follow you online easily! We all lead busy lives now so the easier you can make it for people to follow you, the better the chance you have to build your audience.
Now, I am not saying you need to run out and replace all of your marketing materials but I would certainly recommend you factor in a change when your materials need replacing. It is important that you consider adding social media links to:
A few questions for you – can your audience find and follow you easily on social media? Can you make it easier? Does your audience know what social media platforms you are on?
